Fashion on a budget

Fashion trends come and go so quickly and it is pretty hard to keep up. One of the biggest challenge that a college girl can face is how to look fashionable and still being able to afford other necessities.

Tory Burch is an incredible fashion designer. I love all of her handbags, accessories and shoes. I purchased my very first Reva Flats two years ago and it's worth every penny. This TB Miller sandals has been on my wish list for a while but I don't see myself spending nearly $200 on a pair of sandals any time soon :) I was so glad to find an alternative inspired Audrey Brooke at DSW last spring. It was way more affordable on my student budget.

This gorgeous pave link bracelet can be bought @ gigglosophy. I highly recommended this Etsy seller. The transaction and shipping was so quick and easy. I've received so many compliments on this perfect bracelet.

Celine luggage tote is the "IT" bag! Celebrities have been loving it for many seasons. Fashion bloggers are crazy about it. I see it every where in fashion magazines and blogs, but it's not my cup of tea. If you don't want to spend $2000 ish on this simple and versatile bag, you can get one at oasap for less than $50. What a steal! :)

I purchased this statement leather station necklace from Nordstrom a year ago and it is my absolute favorite. This necklace can instantly glam up your wardrobe.

And I save the best for last. Remember the amazing Manolo Bhlanik "something blue" shoes from Carrie Bradshaw's closet? It is not a surprise this gorgeous pairs cost $965. Let's face it, most of us can't put our hands on this sky high price. I was browsing on DSW website a couple weeks ago and found the Audrey Brooke Sarah Pump that looks so much a like the original Manolo Bhlanik. The best part is that it only costs $70.

L♡ve Your Skin

Screen Shot 2013-01-21 at 3.39.07 AM

1. Drink lots of H2O- If you are not a big fan of plain water, try coconut water. It's a huge trend in hollywood and it naturally keeps you hydrated.

2. Don't stress yourself out- Stress has been proven in clinical studies to worsen the overall skin condition. So try simple breathing techniques, practice yoga or meditation.

3. Take off your makeup every night- Let your skin breathe. It only takes a few minutes, so do it!

4. Give your makeup brushes a bath- Makeup brushes can hold a lot of bacteria, and excess oil, which easily causes break out. It is very important to spot clean them everyday with a brush cleanser or use baby shampoo for a proper wash. Think of this as a basic hygiene.

5. Wash your pillow cases regularly- Pillow cases can collect bacteria and dirt, and it can easily transfer to your skin.

6. Clean your phone screen more often- The phone screen can get pretty gross. Even if bacteria may not be the direct cause to your break out, having a dirty phone won't help either.

7. Get fit- Exercise regularly to retain your skin elasticity and prevent those unwanted wrinkles. What a better way to get a healthy body and clear mind!

8. Keep your hands away from your face- It is a pretty bad habit that can be avoid. Every time you press against a pimple, it causes inflammation and distress to the skin, and eventually permanent damage.

9. Get your beauty rest- You need to rest physically and mentally. A good night sleep can lift your mood, knock down stress, and make you more productive.

10. Scrub away- Dead skin cells can clogg pores on your face and cause congestion or blackheads. Exfoliate at least twice a week for a younger healthy skin.
